Environmental Protection is Essential
TransMontaigne considers environmental protection an ethical imperative. We continually schedule and conduct audits that ensure compliance at each and every facility and coordinate with industry and professional associations – as well as local, state and federal agencies. We collectively track emerging issues, help to develop industry best-practices, and share perspectives and information with key industry participants.
Our culture of open communication is motivated by our responsibility toward environmental stewardship in all relevant functions and throughout all levels of our company. We aim to be a model for our industry in this respect.
We have a skilled team of full-time Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health (ESOH) professionals crossing multiple disciplines and covering all of our regional locations. This team of subject-matter experts provides oversight for federal and state regulatory compliance, project management, environmental monitoring, and waste management. Our environmental staff liaise directly with agency personnel, develop and maintain environmental permits, assist in emergency response, and help shape our company’s policies and practices.
Our in-house staff, in tandem with third-party experts, works closely with our well-trained and qualified terminal operations personnel. We maintain compliance dashboards, conduct frequent management reporting, and employ the best available technology to facilitate and track completion of environmental compliance and maintenance-related activities.
